| Open Days for Peckerwood Garden Access to the garden and Mexican Folk Art Collection is by tour only, which start at 1:00 and 3:00 P.M. These tours provide an insight to the concept of Peckerwood Garden, as well as horticultural information. The garden lies about 50 minutes from downtown Houston and 2 hours from Austin off Highway 290 (see map below). Our Plant Sale is now larger than ever, thanks to our recent acquisition of nearby property and greenhouses. Special cultivars collected or propagated by the garden and other select plants will be available for sale at the garden. View a list of plants available for purchase. The $10 Garden Tour Fee is not required to visit the Peckerwood Garden Plant Sale. Plant Sale hours are 12:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Garden Tours are at 1 P.M. and 3 P.M. Admission is $10 per person. Mexican Folk Art Tours are at 2 P.M. ONLY. Admission is $15 per person. Both Tours are $20 per person. No reservation is needed, but a minimum $10.00 donation is required for admittance to the garden. Students (12 and older) are admitted free. Unfortunately, small children, baby strollers, and pets are not allowed in the garden due to the delicate and sharp plants. For more information about our Open Days, please contact us.

Horticulural or Mexican Folk Art ToursPrivate tours can be arranged any time of the year for groups or individuals who want a more personalized experience of the garden, with special attention given to history, botanical significance, design, and cultural information. Small groups of five persons or fewer may be arranged for a total of $75.00 per hour (pro-rated) with a one-hour minimum. The fee of $75.00 is due upon scheduling the tour to confirm the date and time. Group tours may be arranged for six to thirty persons (larger groups by special arrangement) for a total of $10.00 per person with a $150.00 minimum for the one-hour tour. Groups larger than 15 persons may be broken up and guided separately. A deposit of $50.00 is necessary to confirm the date and time of the tour, which is applicable toward the total cost. Any balance remaining may be paid by cash, check, or credit card on the day of the tour. For tours of both the garden and the Mexican Folk Art Collection, the cost is $20 per person with a $200 minimum and a $100 deposit. All deposits and tour fees are tax-deductible donations.
